1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device when you visit a website. Cookies allow a site to remember information about your visit, like your preferred language, items in your cart, and your login state. Local storage and session storage are similar technologies that we also use.
2. Categories of cookies we use
| Category | Purpose | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Required to operate the Site. Cannot be turned off without breaking the Site. | Login session, cart contents (PinkavoCafeRecipes_cart in localStorage), CSRF protection. |
| Analytics | Help us understand how the Site is used so we can improve it. | Privacy-friendly analytics provider, page-view counters. |
| Advertising | Used to measure ad performance and serve more relevant ads. | Microsoft Advertising UET tag (see Section 3 below). |
3. Microsoft Advertising UET
We may use the Microsoft Advertising Universal Event Tracking (UET) tag for analytics and ad measurement. The UET tag uses cookies to record when a visitor reaches a key page (a "conversion"). Microsoft may combine this information with other data they hold about you to show more relevant ads on Microsoft properties such as Bing.
The UET tag does not collect personally identifiable information unless you provide it. Microsoft retains UET data for up to 180 days.
4. How to control cookies
You have several ways to control cookies on the Site.
4.1 Browser settings
Every modern browser lets you block all cookies, block third-party cookies, or delete cookies you have already accepted. Look for the "Privacy" or "Site settings" section of your browser preferences. Note that blocking all cookies will prevent the Site from working correctly (the cart and login state both depend on essential cookies).
4.2 Microsoft advertising opt-out
To opt out of personalized advertising on Microsoft properties, visit account.microsoft.com/privacy and update your advertising preferences.
4.3 Industry-wide opt-out
For interest-based advertising across many ad networks (including Microsoft), use the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out tool at optout.aboutads.info.
4.4 Do Not Track
We honor browser-level "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control" signals where required by law. When we detect those signals, we treat the visit as an opt-out from sale or sharing of personal information.
5. Cookie banner
The first time you visit the Site we display a banner notifying you that we use cookies. Dismissing the banner stores a single preference value (PinkavoCafeRecipes_cookie_ok) in your browser's localStorage so that we do not show it on future visits.
6. Updates to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change.
